South West Empty Homes Forum - Sandy Park Conference Centre, Exeter

6 Nov 2009 10:00
6 Nov 2009 16:00
Event Description:

This forum promises to be another informative and enjoyable event, with a good range of topics on the agenda. As well as the usual Agency reports, Thelma Cunningham from Plymouth City Council will be speaking about Plymouth's recent Compulsory Purchase success stories. We will also be joined by Kin who specialise in Probate Genealogy and who offer a free professional tracing service to local authorities involved in empty homes strategies. Furthermore, there will be presentations from Matthew Smith of Birmingham City Council, who are a leading Local Authority in Empty Property work, and a presentation on supporting landlord's through the property tax system (speaker to be confirmed). In additon, I am hoping to provide a speaker to present on how to tender for a management service for properties secured via an EDMO.

The autumn forum will be held once again in the conference facilities at Sandy Park (Exeter Chiefs Rugby Club) after continuing positive feedback from the summer forum. The venue is about a 10 minute walk from the Sowton & Digby train station and is set just off the M5 at junction 30. We hope that you will very much enjoy spending the day there again. There are parking facilities on site for those coming by car, and there will once again be an excellent lunch.

The cost of the forum will be the same as the summer forum at  £60.00 + VAT = £69.00 per person, which includes a 2 course lunch, and tea and coffee throughout the day.

The Forum is always popular, so please book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment! A detailed agenda will follow in the near future.
