Improvement Notice - effect on resale value of property

Hi all

I'm having an issue with a solicitor who is slow in obtaining probate for a deceased owner's estate. The owners properties (three so far, but rising) are all empty and falling into disrepair and I need to increase the pressure. I'm hoping that someone can point me to some reference material that demonstrates the effect of a S11 Improvement Notice or other Statutory Notice has on the value of the property. It's something that I've heard mentioned in the past but, when taking on a solicitor, I'd like to be able to quote facts rather than feelings. Any reference or links would be appreciated.
